Demolition/Remediation Estimator

The Opportunity:

Randstad are partnered with a well established Civil Contractor seeking to appoint an estimator to bid manage works in a growing division within the business - Demolition, Environmental and Remediation.

You will work closely with a very hands-on pre-construction Manager and two senior estimators to collaboratively price projects from start to finish.

Your Responsibilities

• Preparing and submitting detailed and accurate cost estimates for demo / remediation projects.

• Develop detailed demolition and spoil removal methodologies.

• Interpreting project plans, scope of works, and other tender documents.

• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes.

• Conducting site visits to assess project conditions and identify potential risks.

• Working collaboratively with project managers and engineers to ensure a smooth transition from tender to project delivery.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as an Estimator within the Victorian construction market with a background in similar project scopes.

• Either a junior estimator seeking to learn and develop or an estimator with 2-4 years experience seeking a great working environment and freedom to work autonomously.

• A strong understanding of demo/remediation methodologies, materials, and costs.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• A salary of up to $130k + super + vehicle
